“ Our experience at the Point Royal was phenomenal. Our server, Fiona was the example of excellence. She greets you with a smile, serves with enjoyment, and took the time to learn our dietary needs. When you go to Point Royal ask for Fiona. Along with fantastic service, the food was delicious. They have glutenfree options, which was quite a delight. My husband enjoyed the customized omelets prepared by Mr. Camille. If you have questions about the buffet just ask Mr. Alain he wont steer you wrong. “ We stayed at the resort and ate breakfast here every morning. The buffet had everything you could want. Literally. I genuinely enjoyed everything I tried. Also . . . orange juice, water, coffee, and espresso were included with our breakfast. The best part was the staff. Everyone we encountered was above and beyond spectacular! ”
“ This is the best restaurant in The Diplomat. The prices are pretty reasonable for what youre getting and the service was very good both times we ate here. The buffet is huge and there are a lot of really interesting selections like tarts and creme brulee. The chicken sausage was pretty good as well. You can have someone make you a custom omelet which is nice. The buffet is 36 but it also includes unlimited drinks. There are also other selections on the menu like breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches. Its much better food than what youd find on, say, a cruise ship buffet. With that said, its better to come early because like all buffets the food is fresher the earlier you get there. Server was extremely attentive and did a great job. Atmosphere is also really nice as youre sitting right near the beach with some window views. The gratuity is included but I also paid the server a little extra since she did such a good job. I went here with two other family members and we all agreed that this was the best restaurant at The Diplomat. Its a shame theyre not open for lunch. ”

“ When the clock strikes 530, make your way to Point Royal for oyster hour where celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian and former Beachcraft executive chef and Diplomats now corporate chef Michael Fiorello have concocted a menu featuring a slew of oceanic delights. The aptly named oyster hour lets you have freshly shucked bivalves alongside pretty potent margaritas for 7, though eating your way through the regular menu is also highly recommended. Get a seafood tower and do like we do with a dirty martini to wash it down. Then, do try Point Royals Ugly Burger, Oyster PoBoy, Alaskan King Crab Ricotta Dumplings, Steamed Maine Mussels with creme fraiche and dijon mustard, and GZs thats Geoffrey Zakarians Poached Lobster Roll that takes a whole crustacean and douses it in a piquant Colemans mustard sauce. ”

“ We had a great breakfast at the Point Royal. The food was great and there was such a large variety. You can pay 36 for a deluxe buffet which includes eggs, bacon, sausage, omelette station etc. or you can pay 26 for pastries, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, toast etc. the kids buffet is 19, which is a good deal as the other option is 13 and doesnt include a drink. The best part of our experience was our waitress, Jennifer A. Even though we got the buffet, she was attentive, checked in on us often and interacted with our 5 year old. She was amazing! Some people will think the price is a bit much, but it is completely worth it for the variety and the great staff. ”
